Privacy Policy

1. Operator

株式会社Eureka Labo (Eureka Labo, Inc.; the "Company" or "we") sets out below how it handles personal information on "Euthopia Games" (the "Service"), a game-publishing platform.

2. Information We Collect

[Account information] The Service does not issue its own accounts; it relies on authentication via the shared Euthopia account. What the Company receives on the Service are three items only: your user ID, display name, and email address. We never receive your password.

[Information recorded through your use of the Service] Information about published games and the Creator's ID, the pen name used for publication, favorites you register, ratings (stars from 1 to 5 only; we do not collect free-text reviews), purchase history (games and items purchased, amounts, payment IDs, and purchase dates and times), the consumption history of in-app items, the connection status of the revenue-receiving account, and API keys (we do not store the key itself; we retain only a hashed value).

[Payment information] Payment information such as credit card numbers is collected directly by Stripe, our payment processor, and does not pass through the Company's servers. What the Company retains is limited to records such as the payment identifier, amount, and success or failure.

[Creator identity verification information] Identity verification of Creators who receive revenue is carried out by Stripe. The Company does not receive or store identity documents or the like.

[Analytics information] The Service uses PostHog to understand usage. The URLs of pages viewed and the transitions between them are recorded. When you are signed in, a user ID (a random identifier) is associated with this. We do not send your email address or display name to the analytics provider.

[Game play counts] The play count of each game is aggregated as an anonymous number. It is not a record of who played.

3. Purposes of Use

To provide and maintain the Service (publishing games, granting purchased rights, and displaying favorites and ratings).

To process payments for paid games and in-app purchases, to pay revenue to Creators, and to calculate fees.

To prevent misuse and to respond to inquiries from Users.

To analyze usage in order to improve the Service.

4. Provision to Third Parties and External Transmission

Except as based on laws and regulations, the Company does not provide personal information to third parties without the individual's consent. However, to the extent necessary to provide the Service, information is transmitted to the following providers.

[Stripe (payments)] The Buyer's email address, the identifier of the purchase target, and the user ID are transmitted. For Creators, an email address is transmitted in order to open an account.

[PostHog (analytics)] The URLs of viewed pages and, when signed in, the user ID (a random identifier) are transmitted. The destination servers are located in the United States. We do not transmit email addresses or display names.

[Euthopia (authentication platform)] To confirm your sign-in status, authentication information is transmitted to Euthopia's authentication servers.

[Euthopia Games backend API] When features such as save data or rankings are used within a game, that data is transmitted to the Company's backend API (see Section 6).

5. Use of Cookies and the Like

[Authentication cookies] Used to maintain your sign-in status.

[Analytics cookies and local storage] Used by PostHog to measure usage.

[Display settings] The browser's local storage is used to remember the display format and sort order of the games list.

At present, the Service does not provide a function to opt out of (stop) analytics within the Service. You can refuse this by disabling cookies in your browser settings.

6. Information Provided Within Games (Important)

The games published on the Service are created independently by Creators. Where a game asks a player to enter information, the handling of that information is carried out at the Creator's responsibility.

[Public rankings and the like] Where a Creator uses the data-storage feature with the "public" setting, the information stored there (such as player names and scores) can be viewed by anyone without requiring authentication. Please take care not to enter information you do not want to be public.

[In-game accounts] To store save data and the like, a game may ask you to register its own account (email address, password, and name). This is separate from your Euthopia account; do not enter your Euthopia account password. Registered information is stored on the Company's backend and can be viewed, edited, and deleted by that game's Creator.

7. Security Measures

Credit card information does not pass through the Company's servers and is not retained by us.

API keys for external integration are not stored in plain text; we retain only a hashed value.

We limit the personnel who handle personal information and manage access privileges.

8. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion

If you wish to have your own personal information disclosed, corrected, its use suspended, or deleted, please contact our contact desk. After confirming your identity, we will respond in accordance with laws and regulations.

Please note that, for records whose retention is required by law—such as purchase history—we may be unable to comply with a deletion request.

9. Changes to This Policy

The Company may change this Policy as necessary. Where we make an important change, we will give notice on the Service.

10. Contact Desk
