Frequently asked questions
Here are common questions from players and creators. If something is not here, take a look at the individual guide pages too (How to publish, Connecting a backend, Fees & plans).
For players
Do I need an account or payment to play?
Free games can be played in the browser alone, with no account. Buying paid games, and adding favorites or ratings, requires logging in (a free shared Euthopia account).
Can I play on mobile?
Each game has its supported devices set (for PC, for mobile, or both), and the games list targets your device automatically. Opening a PC game on mobile shows a "for PC" notice.
What can I use to pay?
Payment is by credit card via Stripe. Stripe securely manages card information, and Euthopia Games never receives card numbers.
Can I play a game I bought again later?
Yes. Log in and you can resume anytime from the same game page, and purchased games also appear in My Games. Even if the creator unpublishes a game, those who bought it can keep playing.
Can I get a refund?
If a game you bought has a serious problem (does not launch, differs greatly from the description, violates the terms, etc.), we may issue a refund at our discretion. First, let us know via the report link on the game page.
What should I do if I find an inappropriate game?
Let us know via "Report" on each game page. We review suspected rights infringement, inappropriate content, malware, and the like, and if necessary take action such as suspending the game or issuing refunds.
For creators
Can I publish a game made with AI (such as Claude) as-is?
Yes. Euthopia Games is a platform where you can publish AI-made browser games as-is. Once connected over MCP, just ask your AI to "Put this up on Euthopia Games" and it completes everything from upload to publishing. You can also publish manually from the form.
What files can I publish?
Games that run in the browser alone (HTML / JavaScript / WASM). Upload either a full zip containing index.html or a single HTML file. Size is up to roughly 30MB after extraction. You can also list a game you already host yourself just by providing its URL.
Is there a review or a cost to publish?
There is no review, and publishing is free. The only cost is the sales fee when a game sells, and revenue minus the fee is deposited directly into the creator's own Stripe account. For rates, see "Fees & plans."
Can I publish from AI other than Claude?
Yes. The mechanism is standard MCP (HTTP connection), so any MCP-capable AI client connects with the same setup. The client we have verified as a walkthrough is Claude Code.
Does the URL change when I update a game?
No. After publishing, the game page URL stays the same, and you can swap files, edit the description and tags, and add update history (release notes).
Do I need a server contract to add saves or leaderboards?
No. Backends such as player accounts, cloud saves, leaderboards, and payments are provided by Euthopia Games, and they are built into your game just by asking an MCP-connected AI to "add a leaderboard." For details, see "Connecting a backend."
How do I receive my revenue?
Once you complete the Stripe connection for receiving payouts on My Page, revenue minus the sales fee is deposited directly into the creator's own Stripe account.
How is the thumbnail set?
If you upload an image when publishing, that is used; if you do not pick one, an automatic screenshot of the game screen becomes the thumbnail. You can swap or re-capture it later.
What if I want to stop publishing or delete a game?
You can unpublish or delete anytime from My Games. A game with buyers is unpublished rather than deleted, and those who bought it can keep playing.
Is the account separate from Euthopia itself?
It is shared. One Euthopia account lets you use both Euthopia itself, the app-generation platform, and Euthopia Games. Registration is free, and you can create it right from the Euthopia Games screens.
